Belynda Azhaar is a professional Performing Artist with more than 20 years experience in TV, stage, and screen productions. Currently based in Seoul, South Korea, Belynda has toured throughout Asia teaching, performing, judging competitions, and sharing her passion for Middle Eastern & World music, dance, and culture.
Performer
Belynda Azhaar combines her acting, musical, and dance skills to create powerful performances; from soulful, to playful, to exciting! She is equally comfortable performing elegant Egyptian raks sharki as she is dramatic Dark Fusion.
Instructor
Specialising in adult education, Belynda Azhaar brings more than 10 years teaching and corporate training experience to the classroom. She is a caring, motivational, and supportive teacher, and is known for: generously sharing her performance, musical, and cultural knowledge with students,
her careful explanation and detailed break-down of dance movement,
providing the individual attention and feedback needed for students to improve.
Event Organiser, Producer & Promoter
To raise awareness and appreciation of Middle Eastern & World music and dance, Belynda Azhaar organises monthly haflas (social dance parties) in Seoul, South Korea.
She has also produced several charity events, such as the Aid Gaza Benefit Night, which raised around US$3000 for Palestinian civilian victims of the 2009 War on Gaza.
